Dear Journal,
Life isn't fair. My mother and father died when I was young. I am raised by hand now by my own sister, Mrs. Joe. I feel as if I don’t have anyone to hang out with. Today was rough. I had to escape from a convict. I was so scared! I had to give him my food and a file. He is going to escape and kill me, while I live on an empty stomach. I wish that I had a different life, like this girl I just met, Estella. She is so pretty and so rich. Her guardian, Mrs. Havisham, may be cruel, but Estella is so awesome she can be as mean as she wants. I want to hang out with her again soon.

Dear Pip,
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry about your mother and father, but I like to think that I'm your friend. And as your friend, I'm not going to tell Mrs. Joe that you stole her food and my file (especially for a convict!) I think that you should forget about this Estella girl and come be apprenticed to me. Ms. Havisham may not turn you into a gentleman, so you need to learn to do something useful.
Joe (AKA Ali)
Oh please! Would you stop complaining? Save yourself the time and save me the headache. You have no room to complain! You are just a little dirty peasant boy. You probably see convicts all the time. It's no wonder you had to steal food for him. I'll be that is nothing new either. Also, you deserved to be "raised by hand". The way you act, there was probably plenty of "hand" in your growing up, and I bet that you deserved every bit of it. I respect your sister for trying to teach you even the slightest bit of civility.

P.S. - Stop complimenting me like that, it's weird.
Yesss... everything is going along just as I planned...
